Centering Prayer Local Meditation Groups
There are over 12 active local chapters of Contemplative Outreach, the International spiritual network of individuals and local faith communities. This network is primarily focuse on Divine transformation through the daily commitment to Centering Prayer.
Today, there are over 800 prayer groups and Centering Prayer has been taught to over 15,000 through locally-hosted workshops; and provides training and resources to local chapters and volunteers. We also publish and distribute the wisdom teachings of Fr. Thomas Keating and other resources that support the contemplative life.
Each Centering Prayer Chapter, and many have their own websites, have a number of weekly Centering Prayer gorups that meet to meditate together. These will not be specific recovery meditation groups but you will find that they are very supportive in allowing you to join their meditation community.
